The 2016 Honda HR-V Hits Dealerships on June 29th
It was supposed to arrive in dealerships on July 10th, but the much-anticipated Honda HR-V has in fact arrived in Honda dealerships on June 29th, more than a week prior to its original arrival date.

Blending SUV-capabilities with a powerful yet fuel-efficient engine, the Honda HR-V is the next best thing from Honda. It will look to make its mark in one of the fastest growing segments in Canada.

Available in four trim levels, the 2016 Honda HR-V starts at a touch above $20,000 while the fully-equipped EX-L Navi model that comes with leather seats, a navigation system, all-wheel-drive, a rear-view camera, Bluetooth, a sunroof, and a lot more, is priced at less than $30,000. Available with a standard six-speed manual, the HR-V can also be equipped with an automatic CVT transmission.

Front-wheel drive is standard while all-wheel drive is optional. Under the hood, buyers get a four-cylinder, 1.8-liter engine that delivers 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. On the road, this engine proves to be powerful and reliable while also being quite fuel-efficient. Indeed, equipped with the CVT transmission, the average fuel consumption is 8.3 liters per 100 kilometers in the city and 6.7 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway. Even with all-wheel drive, the average fuel economy is stated at 8.1 liters per 100 kilometers.

Inside the HR-V, buyers get a cockpit that reminds us of the Honda Civic with perfect fit and finish throughout, as well as an impressive infotainment system that is as beautiful to look at as it is to use on a daily basis. You also get a ton of interior space and storage areas, and because the Honda HR-V is based on the subcompact Honda Fit, you also get Honda’s exclusive Magic Seat system allowing for up to five seating configurations in the back enabling the owner to put basically anything back there. With all seats in place, cargo space is more than 600 liters, which is better than anything offered by the competition.

In terms of safety, the Honda HR-V is offered with Honda’s well-known ACE body structure that dissipates the force of an impact away from the passengers, as well as standard stability and traction control, hill start assist, and brake assist.

Come in today and drive the brand-new 2016 Honda HR-V at Bruce Honda. Starting at $20,690, the HR-V gets a standard rear-view camera as well as heated seats, air conditioning, and Bluetooth. What’s not to love?
