2017 Honda Accord: popular for several reasons
December 22 2016,
Every year, the Honda Accord finds itself at the top of the sales figures of the mid-size sedan segment. When we take a look at the different versions of the car as well as all the standard and optional equipment it offers, it’s easy to understand why.
Several versions and a lot of equipment in the 2017 Honda Accord
The 2017 Honda Accord starts at $24,590 and is available as a sedan or two-door coupe. The entry-level sedan model offers heated seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity systems, 17-inch wheels, keyless entry and a multi-angle rear view camera.
In other versions of the new Honda Accord, 19-inch wheels are available along with several active safety systems included in the Honda Sensing package (intelligent cruise control, blind spot monitoring, automatic braking, frontal collision warning, lane departure warning and prevention), leather seats, sunroof, dual-zone climate control, heated rear seats, and much more.
The 2017 Accord range also gets a new trim this year with the addition of the SE version. It is available starting at $ 27,590 and comes standard with an automatic transmission as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and push button start, in addition to all the standard equipment listed previously.
Powerful and fuel-efficient engines in the 2017 Accord
The 2017 Honda Accord is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 185 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission in some versions of the sedan while most versions get a continuously variable automatic transmission.
A 3.5-liter V6 engine with 278 horsepower and 252 lb.-ft. of torque is also available. While the six-speed manual is offered with the V6 engine in the Coupe model, most V6-powered sedans will receive a six-speed automatic.
Despite the power of the four-cylinder engine, the latter is quite fuel efficient with an average fuel consumption rating of 7.8 liters per 100 kilometers with the CVT automatic transmission.
There is also a hybrid version which starts at $ 31,200 and is powered by a 212-horsepower engine that features an average fuel consumption rating of 5.0 liters per 100 kilometers.
The new 2017 Honda Accord is perfect for both families and young professionals looking for an elegant sedan that is comfortable on the highway and fun to drive on a country road.
