2016 Honda CR-V: Compact Practicality
If you thought Honda had the compact sedan down pat, well it seems they’ve also mastered the compact CUV with their new entry into the segment, the CR-V.

If you thought Honda had the compact sedan down pat, well it seems they’ve also mastered the compact CUV with their new entry into the segment, the CR-V. Well-built and as Honda as they come, the 2016 Honda CR-V this little CUV has made a name for itself over the years, and it’s a well-deserved name in the segment. Already well-known for it drivability and interior space and amenities, this latest iteration is sure to keep its top spot in the minds of returning customers and new buyers alike.

As is the case with any Honda, the real attraction and joy of owning an H-branded vehicle is the engine and drive. While there are five available models (LX, SE, EX, EX-L, TOURING), the same engine resides across the board: a 2.4L DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder unit that pushes out 185 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The lively and responsive mill in the 2016 Honda CR-V makes sure this compact CUV is as dynamic to drive as it is practical.

While the 2016 Honda CR-V features an extremely economical and competent CVT controlling power sent to the front wheels (unless Honda’s Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control is optioned), Honda’s well-known and much-loved Drive-by-Wire Throttle system is standard. There’s no denying that this latest iteration of the Honda CR-V is all about making your life easier, even at the pumps. If you opt for the FWD version of the 2016 CR-V you’ll see fuel economy numbers in the 7.8L/100km range, and if it’s the AWD model you desire then expect those numbers to change only slightly to 8.3L/100km.

The 2016 Honda CR-V makes a serious statement on the road with a classic, sophisticated exterior design. Serious curb appeal keeps this compact crossover relevant with all the right edges and angles that keep the CR-V tuning heads. With available colours like Mountain Air Metallic or Obsidian Blue Pearl, as well as available 18” aluminum-alloy wheels, you can really make your 2016 Honda CR-V the envy of the neighbourhood.

Looks aren’t everything, and inside the 2016 Honda CR-V offers the latest in onboard technology.  Honda’s i-MID (intelligent Multi-Information Display), bilingual HandsFreeLink, Bluetooth, and available Display Audio System with Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System and bilingual voice recognition ensure the CR-V is as well equipped inside as it is under the hood.

With room for five occupants and 1,054 litres of cargo space (with the back seat up), the 2016 Honda CR-V has so much on offer, it’s almost too good to be true.
